My
Camino
3000 books sold in 5 months. Sue Kenney is on her way to becoming
a national best seller in the first year of publication.
This
is a list of some of the activities that have taken place
over the summer 2004 to promote Sue's book. Here's what's
happened in Ontario so far:

Sue's
book launch June 25th was covered in an article
in the Toronto Star, an ad in the Toronto Star,
St James Cathedral church bulletin, Community news
to 50k people and her email distribution to 500
people.

It
was held at St James Cathedral in Toronto, 90 people
attended, 64 books were sold and 27 of her storytelling
CD's Stone by Stone were sold .
-
The
first author signing was held at Bookers in Oakville
and we sold 17 books in 2 hours.
-
At
Sue's book signing and launch in Washago she sold
42 books.
-
The
second signing was in Orillia where she sold 19
books in 2 hours .
-
Other
readings and signings have been held at independant
book stores and events in Port Carling, Gravenhurst,
North Bay, Huntsville, Toronto with great success.

Her
strategy for the summer months was to work the local
markets near her home north of Orillia, to capture
the cottagers and tourists.
-
She
has sold at Gravenhurst Farmers Market, Orillia
Farmers Market, Huntsville Farmers Market and other
local events with great success.

She
has done interviews and received media coverage
on MCTV, Rogers Daytime, the New VR, Omni TV, Cogeco
Cable, CBC radio, Chay FM, B101, The Moose FM, Talk
590, Toronto Star, Muskoka Today, Huntsville Nuggett,
Orillia Today and more.

Sue
will be aired five times in mid-September on Rogers
Bio Library show; a 1/2 hour interview with Carolyn
Weaver all about my book.

Sue
will be aired on a 1/2 hour interview all about
her book, for a show called Life Is on Cogeco Cable
in late September.

Sue
will be a featured author doing a reading at the
Arts Week launch at City Hall in Toronto Sept 23.

Sue's
book is in the library at Trinity College in Dublin
and the Confraternity of St James library in London,
England.
-
Books
have been sent all over Canada and the US and to
Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, Scotland, New
Zealand, California, Japan, Australia, New York
and more.

Because
of the early successes, Sue has decided to do a Canadian Tour:
Author Speaking and Book Signing from September to December.
Sue's
book will be on promotion at all Chapters and Indigo stores
in Canada beginning September 14 to October 3, 2004; be sure
to check it out in the store. She has sent every store
in Canada a letter of introduction and a copy of her CD along
with an offer to do a book signing.
